Tucker View Groundbreaking Ceremony
This past July, C+C Architecture's Principal, Frederick Cooke joined Newark's Mayor Ras J. Baraka, Council President Mildred C. Crump, the Department of Economic and Housing Development, Newark Community Economic Development and Bergen Street Redevelopment founder Kiburi Tucker at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Tucker View project. This long awaited development will facilitate comprehensive redevelopment of the South Ward Bergen St. commercial corridor in this Newark neighborhood.
This exciting project is a 42-unit residential development over both parking and commercial space. It comprises two buildings along Bergen St. at the heart of the South Ward of Newark. "Building A", located at 1041 Bergen Street, is a five-story building featuring 32 residential units over commercial space and 14 parking spaces. "Building B", located a block away at 1057 Bergen Street, is a four-story building featuring 10 residential units and a community center on the ground floor.
The Architectural design of the exterior calls for brick facades with modern windows that enhance and further complement the design. The interior Architecture offers generous 1, 2 and 3 bedroom apartment layouts featuring wood flooring throughout with modern kitchens and bathrooms.
This development will be transformative for the Weequahic neighborhood and all of its residents. We are thrilled to be part of this team!
